Made the mistake of setting it as my alarm one morning when I knew I had to be up earlier than normal. After I managed to disable the alarm I laid in bed, afraid and in shock due to the sudden audible barrage my somber sleeping brain had just been assaulted with.

Rap's like something like anime. It's an extraordinarily broad genre. This, for instance, is written precisely for your sentiment. I detest quite a lot of rap myself but there's bright spots, like most genres.
